Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Clay style Alaska/Safari Skinner in OD Green linen micarta/CPM 3V. The solder joint is perfectly executed with no pinholes while the tang is radically tapered to .005" at the butt. Both the spine and the ricasso are rounded. The knife is satin belt finished to 400 grit then superfine scotchbrite belt. The CPM 3V was austenitized, quenched, and triple tempered for maximum edge retention and toughness. The primaries were ground to .025" then toothy 22 degree secondaries were applied for a robust, field worthy edge. This large skinner is well suited for the biggest game. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $350 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to tsteingass@yahoo.com. Thanks for viewing and all comments are welcome.

Merry Christmas,

TK

Thanks Harvey and Scott! CPM 3V is nasty stuff - it's four steps below a diamond on the Knoop Hardness scale and it likes to eat belts. The best you can do is a good belt finish on it because of the Vanadium Carbides......it's an excellent tool steel for hard use knives. :)
