I was start is one month ago. Just finished.
It's forged is 1075 steel.
Lenght: 130cm
Weight: 2.52 kg
Handle: ebony ( inlay is silver)

Just noted the words on the blade. . .

. . .any chance you can take a picture of just that so that we can see what it says and see the workmanship involved?

What technique did you use to put the words on the blade? The answer may become self-evident once close-up pictures are posted, but since they aren't yet I have to ask.

Does the etching translate "Worthy Victory"?

I'm not sure, maybe "be worthy of victory"

I got "Worthy Victory be". . .I just wasn't sure where the "be" went and I was using an free online translator. I was pretty sure it was close but that a word was missing somewhere. . .

. . ."Be Worthy of Victory" sounds better.

That's a very nice claymore! How well does the 1075 hold up to abuse in a blade that long and heavy?

It does well dont worry about that for 1075.
