Reminds me of Aleister Crowley's Book of The Law, Chapter 1, verse 4:

Every number is infinite; there is no difference.

I don't know exactly what it means, but it's stuck with me for many years.

Now this is a good thread.
By the way, the Thomas Kuhn book is required reading for undergrad Anthro students. I read it!

I believe that if you go far enough either macrocosmically or microcosmically, all things ARE the same.

Take one pill if you're sad. Take another if you're overweight. Take a pill if you experience sexual disfunction. One pill for bald guys. One pill for bald girls. A pill to make you breathe easier. A pill for birth control. Is there anything a pill can't fix? Yes, but if you buy the right cell phone, clothes, car and maybe get some botox or implants you wont need the pills (unitl it comes time to pay for the bills and you become depressed and impotent).

Maybe that's why there are so many "reality" shows on TV. We're all to fat, bald, impotent and depressed to have lives of our own. No wonder the aliens haven't contacted us, we look pathetic on TV.

Oh, let's not forget smoking. The greatest evil Man has ever known. Forget war and famine. Forget illiteracy , teen pregnancy and AIDS. Forget the Rainforest and global warming. I see more anti-smoking ads than I do for Zoloft, Enzyte and all the rest of them put together. We now resume your regular shceduled program.
