Thanks! I'll get some before and after photos, though I've already torn it down.I would try isopropyl alcohol and a stiff brush as it will not harm the G10. You could also sand off the color if you don’t mind also sanding the g10.
Paint thinner and acetone might damage the G10. If you do decide to use alcohol, use some sort of oil like mineral oil afterwards to get rid of the chalky white appearance it may leave.
Appreciate the tip, I was thinking about hot (not boiling) water to start loosening it up. Wasn't aware of it's heat tolerances.You likely won't damage the g-10 short of excessive heat.
