Not sure, but it is very course. It takes a lot of material off fast. I have only used it to repair large chips and nicks. I hit it mineral spirits and very little came off. Oil soaks right into it.View attachment 1127960

Your tri-hone set looks a lot like a smaller one I've got (6" or slightly shorter stones); especially that Medium stone. Though, with mine, the Fine stone is an Arkansas translucent. The coarse stone is likely silicon carbide (SiC), which does remove metal very fast.

Tj, on your coarse stone rub in a layer of Vasoline first then mineral oil. See if this helps keep oil on it's surface during sharpening. DM
