cleaning diamond rods.

Do I clean my sharpmaker diamond rods the same way I clean the grey and white rods?

The diamond sleves that I have, don't seem to fill up with use like the ceramic rods. All I have ever done to them is to give them a quick blast of canned air.

I don't think that a wash woud hurt them though. I have seen simillarly plated tools being used under a flood of cutting fluid.
