Cleaning knives

Does anyone know if dead down wind oil is good for cleaning knives?

I have no idea what that is.

Soap and water is good for cleaning knives. Dry, then oil if it’s a non-stainless knife.

Its a oil used for cleaning guns and other steels and has anti rust qualities.

Im guessing its okay to use but just wanted to be sure. Since its a lubricating oil used for anti rust and stuff it would be okay.
