Well low and behold cleaning out my old desk . I found a new in the box swiss dark green tantam from sks. I had bought serval over the years and gifted them to young guys . But I didn't remember this one . So I am keeping it for me ! It's possible use is a lite weight edc when size and weight matters . I use to give the money clip as a gift. It's important to teach young people that knives are a useful to in every day life .Not a weapon but a tool .

I used to do that; give out small SAK's as gifts to young people to introduce them to the pocket knife as a tool for everyday life. I had very mixed success in that. One Christmas I put a classic in everybody's stocking filler to see what happens. I had several family members that were always the ones with "Hey Carl, lemmie see your knife" Or hey carl, lend me your knife for a minute." Usually to do something that I'd never do with my knife. So I gave out like 14 classics that Christmas. I had about 40 to 50 percent success. Some lost them, some had them confiscated at airports, a few just who knows. But a few family got use to having a small knife/tool on the keyring, so some good results. A couple lost them at airports, but surprisingly replaced them when they got home.

The truth is believe, is that a lot of young people could put a small blade to great use but most dont think about it when they look for something to cut the hard plastic clamshell packaging that is keeping them from their tech purchase, or those who use the tip of a ball point pen to cut (pop?) The tape from their Amazon boxes, or simply those dancing all day because of an errant thread on a shirt tickling them all day. Everyone could find a million uses for the iconic classic--- just, most don't think about it.
And rather live life with undue difficulty
