cleaning/polishing bass washers on CRKs

What do you mean by washers aren't hand fitted? What is CRK doing exactly when they assemble a Sebenza? I thought they were trying to get an exact fit of bushing + washer + washer = blade thickness. So wouldn't washer widths come into play?

From the factory tour video they show how they hand fit the action, and it is by adjusting the pivot bushing, not the washers. Thats what they show anyway.

I would think too loose and they remove material from the pivot. Too tight they remove material from the washers. The one in the video was on the loose side.
I have measured and found variations in each on brand new knives.

I agree. I guess the concept is the "bushing-washer assembly" is hand fitted, but I don't know squat :)

I'll do mine by hand... I'd worry the tumbler would be a little aggressive and could cause more issues than it solves. Besides, hand cleaning the two washers is a pretty easy job even if you have to strop them a little. Just my 2 cents.

You really don't want to "toss the washers into a tumbler" Any "kink, or burr, and you'll likely need a new set. Just use the darn knife,, unless there is an issue to start with, that's all washers need!
