What can I use to clean the canvas micarta handles on my rc-5, rubbing alcohol?

There's like dirt and tree sap on it

use some lacquer thinner, brake cleaner,denatured alcohol or WD-40. use sparingly but any of these should work a treat.

I would have left it at that also but he did say: There's like dirt and "tree sap" on it

Smear some peanut butter or vegetable oil on the sap. Sap is oil soluble. THEN soap it to get rid of the oil!

est thing for tree sap is turpentine then clean the turpentine off with glass cleaner. Turpentine being the natural tree 'solvent' that will cut through the sap. Mike

Great tips! I hate getting tree sap on me or my gear. It never wears off.

I believe TTD recommended batoning through a bar of soap one to clean off the blade.

Sounds like you got some great replies already so I'm not going to add to the list of possible materials making your job even harder.

@hwpaintballer: I dont mind the blade being a bit dirty, but I like my handles to be clean

The great thing about blades is you can sometimes clean them with use.
