Anyone have a better email address or a fix? Note that I fiddled with his site's email address for his security.

Oregon, here's his e-mail address... triple-r-knives@cox.net ... Tell him I sent you...

e-mail me... Do you still have my P/N???

Thank you kindly ITE for Leroy's email address.

I rummaged that same email address for Leroy Remer out of the net via the google and sent him a ping. I'm using AOL which sends advertising with each email even though I am a paid member of AOL.

Email inbound ITE.

I thought I had a sticky, in a place of honor for your p/n, but I don't see it there...

So Oregon, are going to call, for we talk about the Clear 110s and Leroy???

I'll see Leroy at OKCA this Spring. And see about a clear user then.

I don't collect salesman's samples so one of those would be wasted on me. They should go to someone who would relish it. I'm more of an accumulator than a collector.

Will you be at OKCA in April, 2011? I think that you would enjoy yourself there.

I've only ever seen the rep models, which I want, but would be interested if another avenue through Leroy is possible. I never gave any thought to any other means until you brought it up.

Leroy, use to make them for the reps in the custom shop at buck... They wouldn't make a good user... But, Leroy can make you one that would be sweet in your collection... ITE ...

I have not been able to reach Leroy Remer via email using either email address. The first keeps getting returned by the mailordemon and no response to the 2nd email address.

Does Leroy hand out at any forum?

I might just have to use the dreaded telephone

A pic of Longbow's clear 110 sure makes it perfectly clear what I'm after.

I'll keep at it.

Oregon, you could call me... I am just trying to help you out... You said you are going to see Leroy in Oregon, at the next show...

I know where a clear user 110 is... It could be gone now... Call Leroy... I told him that you are looking for a clear 110... Good luck...

I'm not sure that we are communicating ITE.

My idea of a clear-handled user 110 is a knife that looks alot like the above-pictured salesman sample and it is tough/robust in order to stay together while being used. So the maker would have had to come up with some extraordinary clear material, not easily breakable acrylic, for the scales. Fingergrooved maybe. Pocket clip perhaps. What material to use for the scales. Transparent aluminum perhaps. I sure don't know. The maker would have to be able to work the material, whatever it is. A tall order in my opinion. Perhaps Leroy already has such material, he can work it, it is affordable, robust and transparent.

A robust clear ceramic candidate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium_oxynitride

Does someone have such a knife available? Or, are you talking about a salesman's sample?

Thank you kindly for your help ITE. You are all right.

Leroy, uses Bullet Proof acrylic of some kind, now... Just takes a phone call... Good Luck...

Yeehaa! Leroy has taken my order for clear-handled 110s.

I was able to reach him by telephone (619dash561dash2442) in California. His site's email is problematic but I sent him a note at triple-r-knives@cox.net.

He uses tough Lexan (will have a slight blue tint at certain angles) that makes the knife a little thicker than that from Buck. NS rivots. Satin finish metal bits.

If it's possible to say how much is one gonna cost? I'd be interested in one myself.

For a skilled artisan custom they are a terrific bargain IMHO.

If you can afford a Buck custom shop knife then you can afford one of these.

I intend to use them. I don't know that anyone has done that before. Lexan is used in helmets.

Here's a clear 112 that Leroy was making for me about two year ago... It's in the top right hand corner on the box with the red tape on the blade on top of the clear handles... ITE ...
