Another medium sized cleaver, forged from 5160 bar.
This one is a bit thicker, larger and heavier than previous ones.
I like to play with shapes and thickness on cleavers, and i'm really happy with this one.
Balance is great and i'm sure it will be great tool for outdoors activity or kitchen work.
The handle is longer than normal and it can be used in choked position for more precised work, or it can be held all the way in the back for extra leverage and power. Both positions are very comfortable and stable.
Extra weight combined with lower grind makes it a more serious tool than my "usual" medium sized cleavers.
Flats are left raw, wet forged and wire brushed after forging.
After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are hand sanded with 800 grit.
Blade is etched with lemon acid.
Details:
Overall length - 12,25"
Blade length - 6,22"
Blade width - 3,27"
Thickness - 3/8" at the thickest part, tapers to 5/64" at the end of the tang.
Cleaver weights 33,72 oz
Handle material: Plum , black G10 liners, carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.
No sheath included, but i can make one for extra fee.
Asking SOLD, priority shipping with tracking number included.
This one is heavier than previous ones (almost 15oz heavier than last one sold here), and shipping is calculated by the weight here, so i had to add some more to cover the shipping fees.
