I just got an early Father's Day Present from my wife... 11" of 1/4' 1080 steel... This thing if hefty! It's raining here, but tomorrow I will take it out for a test drive!

My dad has a collection of antique, forged cleavers that has some amazing pieces in it. Some of them are HUGE! The kind of things you'd use to chop a boar's head off in one lop. They can take care of business vs. wood too. I've never understood why cleaver designs aren't more commonly used on outdoor knives. They kind of split the difference between knife and hatchet.
