I am looking for a clevis end for a hydraulic cylinder it has a 5" dia. piston with a 8" stroke. The problem is that the shaft is 1 3/8' dia. with 12 tpi. All the ones that I can find are 1 1/4 dia. @ 12tpi. I am planning to get the 1 1/4 and bring it to a machine shop and have it fitted. It is only taking off 1/8". I don"t think it will make that much off a problem??? Any opinions??? the pic is the begining, I have all the hydraulics all I need is the end. An a weekend of welding.

George, nice to hear from you again. Its been a while. Your press is coming along good! I made my own part you talking about from a big peice of mild steel on a lathe and cut my own threads. You may have to take it to a machine shop and have it made as its probally a one of a kind adapter. Keep the pics coming on your progress. Bruce B
