Pictures of Beckers are like Boobs...sure you've seen them before, but dammit, you wanna see all you can.

Can't disagree with that. Only thing better than Boobs or Beckers are Beckers AND Boobs. Argh! An idea for that part of the forums where pillaging and plundering is encouraged.

I really like the BK15, as does the wife. She took the BK5 for kitchen use but the BK15 is her favorite. That's okay. Keeps peace in the family and gives me a legitimate reason to buy another BK15!

Yeah the trailing point design has rapidly grown on me. I'm wishing I had spent the money on a BK5 or the LEBK4 but the grass is always greener right :D I'll get em soon enough for sure

That FPR16 has a funny end on it, what gives? ;)

Looks good! I love the stripes...what exactly did u do for those?

...I really need to pick up one of those nalgene carriers.

I just cold blued the handle and the swedge, left the rest of the blade at a high grit finish and Vaselined the edge. Put it in the bleach container tip up at an angle and the etch runs up the blade.

Yeah I love the canteen. Nice light hiking setup for a Guyot/Nalgene bottle, keep a few essentials in the pouch. Good to go.

The etch turned out fantastic! Can't wait to get a production BK15.

Ooooh, aaah! I like that, but I don't like the peanut butter handles. Speaking of which, if anyone wants a spare set I'll trade it for a bottle of black RIT dye.

Dying the sheath for a more tactical look I guess? I really don't care for the PB either, just figured i'd try em out since I had to take the black off anyways. Can't wait for some micarta!

Not really tactical, but I don't like the tan/brown, I don't know why, it's just off putting to me. I guess it could be the mall ninja portion of me that I haven't outgrown yet, but I think a tan color is good for a tan or nipple pink coated knife, not a black or stripped knife, if that makes any sense what-so-ever.

Hey, we like what we like. Can't fault anyone for color preference. It's good that they're including options (though the option should be black zytel or micarta). The sheath design generally is growing on me, may not have to replace it for once.

The only flaws I found with the sheath beyond color, were the useless, not even redundant, just not functional top strap (not a big deal), the made in china tag which I cut off with the 16 as soon as it left the cardboard sleeve it was in, and the snap on the back is far from centered. I don't even mind the tiny front pocket or the sewn in plastic insert. I think I wanna mimic the spec-ops sheaths by making a kydex insert that is screwed in, just so I can take it out for cleaning or changing it's position for different carries, like going from right side up belt to upside down pack, or whatever.

That sounds like a winner to me. May have to follow suit on that one, be it an insert or just use the sheath as backing for kydex. The platform is def worthy of modding though.

The second strap is a necessity to abide by military regulations/rules on knife sheaths, they have to be double retention (or at least that's how I understand it)...so it's a prudent design addition not ''useless'' or ''redundant''.
