I traded work for this lovely Cliff Polk two-blade slipjoint long ago. I am remiss in knowing any specifics on it: Looks like ironwood scales, the blades are possibly ATS34 as it has a very high polish, and the bolsters and liners are also steel. There are no half-stops on either blade.

2 1/2" blades, 6" OAL (65mm x 155mm)

Engraver? From the maker.

It appears to me that someone touched up the tip of the knife. It just doesn't look intentional. I rec'd it this way and never cut even a piece of paper with the knife. Outside of this, all aspects appear unused. I have never cut or carried it.

(Edit: Wrong info from me. The knife is designed this way. Read my post further along from the maker)

Not mint: This is a lockback and there is about .010" up and down blade movement at the tip when locked. It appears the blade lock cutout is a smidge too large. I am certain this would not affect a using performance, but it is not perfectly tight. All other aspects work fine. Nice smooth opening and decent centering.

Appears unused. I have never cut anything or carried it.

Price: $110 [SOLD] includes shipping in the US - PayPal OK, with no fees charged to you :grumpy: for the convenience of me getting paid immediately. :D

NO trade offers, please. Thanks for your consideration.

First definitive 'I'll take it' in email or post gets them.

I'll take that Atkinson folder.

Lower price on the Polk Slipjoint: $285

I've sent Cliff Polk an email with photos to enquire. No response yet.

Thanks,

Just called and talked to Cliff Polk about this 2-blade. He states that the little clip at the end is distinct to his design, and he calls this a 'castrated tip' !

So, the condition is now AS NEW.

Two drunks walk into a bar.... The first one orders a whiskey and the other one orders a hot cocoa.

The waitress calls out from the end of the bar "Hey! Why the hell are you drinking hot cocoa???!"

The first one wipes his sloppy chin, burps, and looks at his buddy....

The second one slurs back: "I'm saving my money to purchase Cliff Polk's slipjoint. It's a steal! Now it's only $275! " NO LONGER FOR SALE

:p

No longer offered for sale here. I will see how well it fares on eBay, as I have listed it there this evening, 3-days. I'm curious to see how well (or poorly) I fare.

I'll report back when I do. Sorry. Thanks for your consideration!

First I miss an Ohta because our power was out; now I miss this Polk because I had to go and gas up the truck! (we're on gas rationing now, dont'cha know - just like any other Third World country. )
