Clip less carry in the office - pocket sheaths?

I hate Sh*t in my front pockets. I try not to have my keys, or phone in them..... the less the better.
I'm ok forgetting my phone at home or losing it. But I'll feel naked (in a bad way) without a knife.

I learned that with horizontal carry in a leather pouch, mine is made/sold by KSF.... I can carry a benchmade folder with a 3.5" long blade. I believe its called the large belt pouch or something like that? It's nice and good leather, I sealed it, and it's fairly dark. I'd definitely buy another.
I can take pictures if you want.

we have a strict policy at work, and it looks like Im a I.T. dork with a glasses case on my belt.
And I hate stuff in my back pocket.

And I look like an IT Dork also.
Especially with a magnifying visor on my head. I deal with small screws on eyewear all day.

I carry my small sebenza, as well as a maratac aaa and a space pen, in a hitch and timber mini engineer. The mini engineer is 4" wide so it takes up the whole pocket.

I also use a Hitch & Timber Engineer organizer in my back pocket, as I am carrying my firearm these days in my right front pocket. Works very well.

I own a Mnandi specifically for office carry. I clip it to my shirt breast pocket and it looks like a pen. The Mnandi is also super light.

Francesca at Wilburn Forge Leather also makes gorgeous leather slips that are “squared” and lay vertical more than any other slip I’ve tried. They are also superb quality

Here is one of her alligator slips

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I used to have a leather train card holder carried in my front pocket and it would be continually damp - so no leather for me. I switched to a Magpul Daka type carrier and no issues as it's some type of PVC that doesn't absorb water.

In the end, the item I was looking for was staring at me in one of my favorite brands, Vanquest Pocket Quiver: https://www.vanquest.com/new-products/pocket-quiver-3x4/

1.5" wide slots, so it will fit my slightly wider folders, AA flashlight, and/or SAK.
Hypalon back, so no moisture absorption, and some tackiness to grip items
Pen slot / rear slot if needed
$14 - relatively inexpensive

I liked the Arc Ripcord too - it was a close second: https://www.etsy.com/listing/713714721/the-mini-ripcord-edc-slip-case

The Arc QuickDraw slots were just slightly too narrow.

I haven't seen those before. Please revisit this thread and let us know after you've spent some time with it.

I know a guy who uses the Ripcord. That's the one that more closely resembles a pocket holster. I think he carries a spare magazine for his IWB P365 along with a flashlight and a folder.

The Quickdraw lives up to its name as a "mini". It's just enough to let me do double duty on my fifth pocket. (It tends to fall over in a regular pocket.) The slots are big enough for things like a Bic lighter, Leatherman Squirt or Gerber Dime, appropriately sized nail clippers, an AAA flashlight, chap stick, etc.

From my suggestion above.

Here's a photo from the vendor when New (oil will darken it, making it look nicer)

I wear it usually at around 8-Oclock.
Depending on my belt loops.
Rarely will I wear it in front of my hip. I like more discretion, and not getting in the way up front.

It's just the right size, and thickness. Very secure. I've worn this for a few years, probably looking beat up, idk?
But it's comfortable, and I've never lost anything.

Here is my knife and flashlight I carry everyday in it.

Spyderco Swayback. Clip removed. Problem solved.

I recently found mine stays vertical against the seam on several different pair of pants.

Plus it's an excuse to get another knife. Win - win.

The reason I'm thinking of pocket type sheath /organizer is because I have some larger slipjoints that I'd like to carry too.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I placed an order for a Beard and Owl Double Slip a week or so ago, made to carry a pen (larger than a Fisher Space Pen, but not huge) and medium sized pocket knife. Not entirely dissimilar to the Arcs and the Vanquist you just ordered; main difference being that one pocket is specifically meant for a pen (or something else narrow like a pen), rather than in a side-sheath where the tip sticks out the bottom (B&O makes those too though). I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it, if you're interested in upgrading from nylon to leather.

Back loop the ball chain on a belt loop n just stick in your pocket. Pull it out, sheath comes of after about a foot of movement and is tethered to your belt loop. Cut, slice, poke & easiest.. Repeat as necessary!o_OIMG_20210411_062403_kindlephoto-1548269772.jpg

I have one of Francesca Wilburn's that came with a folder from Aaron and I'll echo the above that it is great. They (Francesca and her husband both make the products) recently changed their name to Teton Leather Company from Wilburn Forge Leather because people were getting confused between the knives and the leather craft work.

I also would recommend Robertson Leather works.. Piper is the wife of Tim Robertson who is another traditional maker. I have 5 of her slips and they're done in a way where the seam doesn't go all the way to the opening and it makes it really easy to grab the folder from the pocket. They're readily available on their site too.

There's a lot of options for slips... I collect traditionals and knives without pocket clips in general and any slip is going to keep the knife vertical... I haven't had a slip fall sideways ...jeans or khakis.. I don't own any "clip slips" either.

I love the pocket in pocket method. I wear suits and all of the pants have a small pocket in the front right pocket. It is perfect for me to clip my mnandi in. If I ever bought a suit with pants without the pocket I would have one put in.

depends on the knife actually, i have a Spyderco chaparral, small enough closed, big enough open and the wire clip makes it a really good money clip.
thanks for listening, Troy

I really like my Chap more without its clip. I think it is harder to lose it when it is at the bottom of a pocket.
