Clip refurbishing

I picked up an Emerson CQC-15 just last week. Really loving it, except that the finish on the clip is wearing off at the tips. Is there a way of touching it up? Or do I have to paint it?

Same problem with my Spyderco. Im going to do exactly that. They should powder coat these things... Why doesnt this happen with my Kershaw? I think the whole damn thing is DLC thats why.

Whenever I get a knife with a painted clip, sanding it off is a priority. I hate scratched up clips.

On a different note, is there any civilized way to tighten a loose pocket clip? My CQC-7 has seen a fair amount of carry, and the clip ain't what it used to be. Fortunately, gravity is still in my favor.

The finish on the clip looks like gun bluing to me, and that's holding up okay.

take it off the knife stick it in a vice and bend it gently to a tighter fit.
