Clip tension- what do you prefer?

Extremely tight. Personally, I prefer a sheath. But anytime I use a clip, I want it as tight as possible!

I actually prefer my pocket clips to be more on the looser side.

Almost all of my knives I 5th pocket carry, so they stay in no matter what the case.

But for deployment, having a looser clip means the quicker I am.

Now for my larger knives that I do clip into my front right pocket, I like them to be slightly tighter but not by much.

For example my Strider SnG DGG is very tight and mixed with the Gunner Grips that's why their nicknamed pocket shredders.

But another example, on my TSF Beast, its a very light clip and I can extract and deploy the blade lightning fast.

Plus the blade rolls on IKBS bearings and is tuned to open with the lightest thumb flick possible.

All in all its totally up to the user and how he or she carries their knives.

I typically tighten the clip on almost every knife I buy! Remove, wrap in masking tape so pliers/vise don't scratch it and strategically bend. I've lost a Lg Reg Sebenza & a Spyderco Delica due to thin board shorts + IWB. Now I carry 'em tight!

Good show! I take off the clip and stick the "holes" end of it in my vise with nylon jaws (no scratch). Then I just bend carefully with my fingers until I've changed the angle a bit. I just got in a very nice Sebenza on Saturday and don't wish to dump this on the grass somewhere. Just read a post where one of our people just lost his Spydie Brad Southard on a hike in the boonies. Not a prayer to get it back.
I don't get the clip so tight that it is hard to get out of my pants. Yes, my Levi's do fray "there" after a while, but who cares? After a while, I'll get a new pair of Levis. Heck of a lot cheaper than my nice Sebbie.

I'm actually trying something new. I found a (discontinued) Benchmade snap-clip sheath that carries horizontally.

I took the clip off my 300SSN and have been carrying it in the sheath. The main reason was I was afraid of losing it. Now I'm not.
