This was a fun thing to do at the forge. The tang was hot cut and twisted to make the loop; maybe not functional but I feel it adds some class and was fun to make.
Forged form 1/4 inch 52100 steel properly heat treated and tempered to 58-60 Rc
Flat grind with a belt finish
Forge texture on the flats
The clip is not sharpened
Black patina on the spine and flats
Mystery wood handle that I found on the floor of a wood shop and had stabilized. (it might be maple or birch, but a nice figure with some spalting)
Overall length including the loop: 10 1/2 inches
Blade: 5 1/8 inches
Stabilized wood handle: 4 1/2 inches
