This one started with a chalky sun bleached antler that has been chewed on by rodents. it was a challenge to bring it back to life but it was sound and worth the effort. You will notice a few tooth marks that remain, the texture was almost lost when I sanded the antler down to hard material but with some dye and a buffing it brought out the contrasts again. Fun work.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to 59 to 61 Rc
Flat grind with a cork belt finish
Antler hidden handle with Mikarta and brass fixtures
