Made this one today from a farriers rasp temp'd down to about 56-58rc., 8 11/16" long - 3/16" thick, 4" edge, 4 7/8" Rosewood Burgundy Dymondwood handle 3/4 - 5/8 thick, NickelSilver pins, False edge on top is not sharp. Comes w/ a 7-8oz. handsewn pouch style Tan/Brown sheath. $100Price chg'd to $90 shipped conus w/ 100% mbg. Thanks for looking.

Are those easy to resharpen? I've never owned a knife made from a file or rasp, that's why I ask.

My knives made from files have been tempered down to about 56-58rc. and are no more harder to sharped than any other knife in the same rc. range.

What kind of steel is it, and how corrosion resistant is it? Thanks

That one is also made from a file, you can still barely see the filing lines. Most files are made from 1095 or something similar I'm told, NOT rust-proof. Just like a knife made from 01, D2, A2, 1095, etc... Even 440C, ATS-34, and such will eventually rust if not taken care of.
