Are the plain clips coated in any way? I am asking so as to figure out how to anodize or re-coat in a way as to give varying color. Maybe even purdy rainbows....

How many sizes of three screw clips are there? Two? One that fits the Toads and Crickets and another that fits the rest...

Are washers supposed to come in the reversible clip assembly? I know I already asked, but....

Then there are the Kraton augmented clips. Two sizes? Civilian and Pro-Venator or Spur?

You may want to travel the following hyperlink/wormhole to the Spyderco Forum, where I am building interest in a knife I like to call the Worker 2000, hopefully one day made by Spyderco. Your interest and innovation would be appreciated.

One may want to keep an Eye out for my review of the Bob Kasper designed, Kevin Gentile modified AFCK and interview of Bob Kasper. Sorry about the wait, my review and interview should be online shortly, look for it right here at BladeForums.com. The delay has been getting pictures, luckily Spark has graciously offered to do the pictures. Knife writer I may be, photographer I am not, yet.

Marion - The normal clips are not coated and can be with any coating that will stick to stainless.

3 screw clips; Original, which is on most of the models. Small stainless like the CoPilot and Cricket. Military (around the pivot). Starmate has it's own around the pivot clip. G10 Police soon to have a lower profile around the pivot clip.

The washers on the left right clip assembly are for a tighter fit. We'll probably adjust that in the future. New concepts always take some field time to evolve.

You are correct on the kraton. Although the Spur is a rare bird. Hope to bring in a batch of those one of these days. The cowboys liked them, solid and not too large.

The clip idea came from a brass frog - key chain that an artist custom made for me. The arms and head of the frog clipped to the top of the pocket to make the keys more acccessible and not be a heavy pile in the bottom of your pocket.

I've seen a few people carry CoPilot models with keys attached to the lanyard hole. does the same job and you have the knife. Hope that helps.
