Most of these have been sold so the thread is now closed. Thanks everyone.
Most of these blocks were cut from a piece of redwood that had black and burgundy coloring. It was really soft stuff so I decided to stabilize a small batch just to see what it would be like. The blocks were stabilized using a vacuum pressure system with resinol 90c as the stabilizing agent. They are then heat cured. The weight about doubled but they are not as heavy as usual with spalted woods. I test cut a couple to make sure there was complete penetration.
These look real nice but are not as dramatic as some of my other redwood burl so I am selling them at a low price. There may still be a couple very small open eyes or voids in some pieces that are an easy fix with a little CA glue.
US shipping is $2.50 a block or free when you get 2 or more. Canada $10 for up to 4 blocks. The rest of the world is $12 for up to 4 blocks.
When you see ones you want, Just post "I'll take #s....." and I will mark them sold for you. If you need a block cut into scales just let me know.
