Cinnamomum camphora - native to Taiwan, southern Japan, southeast China and Indochina.

Beautiful pink, red, orange and brown coloring in these burl blocks. Smells great when you are sanding. This wood is about medium in hardness. It felt similar to Big Leaf Maple when cutting and sanding.

If you would like the blocks you get from this thread stabilized, I can send them with my next batch to K&G for an extra $5 each. Turnaround time is about 2 weeks from when they receive them. I will be sending batches to K&G for stabilizing every week or so.

If you would like your blocks cut into scales I can do that at no charge.
US Shipping is $2.50 for 1 block or free if you get 2 or more. Canada Shipping is $10 for up to 3 blocks. The rest of the world is $12 for up to 3 blocks. My address to make payment through paypal is itsaburl@hotmail.com.

Mark pick out what you feel is the best looking/most interesting piece there, and I'll take it stabilized and cut into scales.
 
Mark, I am considering 185 but want to make sure it's a nice pink color. If you have another block that you think is a better pink (think spyderco delica pink) let me know.

I have not worked with this wood before but I would guess it would lean more toward red/brown when finished.
