CLOSED///CLICK HERE FOR RELISTED GUNNY

These knives have got to go. Feel free to send reasonable offers via email or PM. I am heading out of town Friday afternoon for the weekend and will have limited connectivity so if you have questions or claim a knife, please be patient with me getting back to you. Any knives bought and paid for will go out tomorrow but I won't be able to ship any bought after tonight before Tuesday, June 3.

First unconditional post, PM or email stating you will take a knife, followed by prompt communication and payment, will get the item. If I don’t hear from you within two hours, I will let the next person claiming the knife take it. If you don’t pay within 24 hours or let me know when you will be able to make payment, I will let the next person claiming the knife take it. I reserve the right to refuse to sell this item to anyone at my discretion.

Prices below include priority shipping with tracking and insurance, as well as PayPal fees. Money orders are also accepted. Shipping only to USA addresses. If you buy more than one, you can reduce the total by $10 for each additional knife. I will usually be able to ship within two days after I receive payment. I’m not interested in any trades at this point.

If you buy a knife and for some reason feel that the description was not adequate, please just let me know and I’ll be happy to work with you to resolve the issue.

1. SOLD///Ka-Bar Becker BK-16 with micarta handles- SOLD///$90 – like new, never used or carried; comes with standard sets of black and tan handle scales and micarta handles

2. SOLD///Ka-Bar Becker BK-17 with micarta handles, G10 liners and stainless bolts- SOLD///$90 – great condition, stripped, lightly used once or twice, and probably sharpened and/or stropped once to touch up edge. Comes with standard handle scales and micarta handles dyed dark brown with RIT dye, thin orange G10 liners and stainless bolts

3. SOLD///Ka-Bar Becker BK-7 with micarta handles- SOLD///$100 – new and unused, comes with micarta handles but does not include standard grivory handle scales.

bubinga scales are sold
I also have some lightly used bubinga scales. You can have these for $20 with purchase of the knife.

4. Bark River Gunny Hunter - $180 – 3V steel and macassar ebony scales; great condition, lightly used once or twice, mineral oil applied to blade and wood. I’ve kept this in the sheath and noticed that parts of the wood come out of the sheath a little lighter from the leather drawing moisture and/or oils from the wood. These lighter areas go away with a little mineral oil. It doesn’t show up in pictures but you can feel a very subtle, very slight shrinkage of the wood away from some parts of the edge of the tang. I do not feel it when I’m holding the knife but only if I deliberately touch where the tang meets the wood.

5. SOLD///Bark River Bravo 1 LT - SOLD///$180 – 3V steel and lignum vite scales; great condition, lightly used once or twice, mineral oil applied to blade and wood. I’ve kept this in the sheath and noticed that parts of the wood come out of the sheath a little lighter from the leather drawing moisture and/or oils from the wood. These lighter areas go away with a little mineral oil. There is a smooth inclusion on the butt of the handle and a slight gap where the scales meet the ricasso. It looks like it may have been partially filled at the factory and has not gotten any worse in the five months I have owned the knife. If it ever did get worse or present some problem, then Bark River should repair it under warranty so I have not pursued a warranty claim on it. I’ve reduced the asking price to accommodate USPS priority shipping with insurance back to Bark River if you should ever need to send back to Bark River. Close up photos of the gap and the handle can be found clicking here.

6/5 Edit:

6. SOLD///Himilayan Imports M43 - SOLD///$100 – Lightly used a few times so there are some scuffs and scratches I tried to show in the photos below. This was a deal of the day due to a repaired small crack in the horn shown in the last photo. Buffalo horn handle has shrunk a bit. It's still comfortable to hold but I can feel it just a bit when holding it. I’ve applied mineral oil to the handle that did improve the shrinkage but scales remain a bit back from edge of tang. From what I have read about this issue, an extended soak in mineral oil should make it better. Close up photos of the handle can be found by clicking here. This one will be shipped regular USPS, not priority, but will have tracking and insurance.

7. SOLD///Buck 113 Ranger Skinner - SOLD///$35 – I don’t recall ever carrying or using this one but may have lightly used it once or twice. Other than couple faint scuffs on the brass, I don’t see any signs of use.

If you will sell those bubinga scales separate, I will take them. I will email you. Thx.

There have been some email problems lately on this site, so if you emailed me and didnt receive a response, please let me know as I have answered all emails received.

The Bark River Gunny Hunter is the last one available. The wood shrinkage is really minor - I don't feel it holding the knife and I can't see it. Only when I deliberately run my finger across from scale to tang to scale do I feel a very slight edge. See the first post for some new close ups.
