A big box of wood showed up today from Australia. The only problem is it needs a few more months before it is ready to use.

Should I list some for sale now that you can save till this winter?
Or, should it stash it in my shop until the Boise Knife Show in November?

I was instructed by the mod to place threads like this in the for sale section instead of Q&A.

That york gum and vasticolm (especially), is amazing...it might have a home on one of my knives soon...if you chose to sell it here.

Choose your options wisely grasshopper. Do you really want to give first crack at this to a group of people at one knife show or to your regulars ;)

Mark, can i offer a suggestion. Having stock of all of the above and having got them from the same place, i strongly suggest you define the "few more months" and dont sell it till your confident its dry enough etc. This stuff wont move much, very little in fact, except maybe the rib fruited mallee and the york gum burl, but having imported wood from the US and to see it buckle like crazy in the first 3 months its sitting in my shop will soon put people off buying it again. Even buying from people i trust and that know what happen sometimes, i still let it aclimatize for at least 12months before attempting to use it. Do the same with this stuff and you would have some very happy customers. It is all very high grade wood.
Cheers Bruce

If you get some of the Curly Mulga, I will buy some, would prefer larger pieces, you know what I like, let me know, Matt

Bruce gives good advice. He is the one who recommended this supplier and has been using this same wood. Letting the wood sit for 12 months will insure the wood is completely dry and acclimated to your area.

I am sanding and sealing the blocks right now. I will make a portion available for those who want some and have the self discipline to wait before using this cool stuff. The blocks will be priced around $25 each. This allows my boss to make a decent profit and you guys to get some cool wood at a reasonable price.

^^^^What he said! I have only waited to buy this stuff so I could get some at the show :)
