- CLOSED: KaBar 1248 Cutlass Machete

- The KaBar Cutlass is used with numerous scrapes and rub marks on the blade. Overall, it’s in good condition and is a solid user. The Kabar has been used and I may have touched up the edge with a ceramic rod. The edge is in good condition, and it is sharp enough to slice paper. The straps on the sheath have some cracks and scrapes on the leather. I’m not sure about the steel; this is an older knife, and an internet search shows a variety of steels associated with the Cutlass Machete
- SOLD:
- The Kershaw Outcast is also used with numerous scrapes and rub marks on the blade. The sheath has some rub marks on it as well. The Outcast’s edge was reprofiled, by me, in an attempt to convex it. It looks like the tip got rounded off a bit in the process, but the edge came out ok overall and it is sharp enough to slice paper. The steel is D2.
