Up for sale is my brand new, just received, and rare ML Knives Trail Fighter #40. This is made by Matt Lesniewski out of New York and he specializes in hand-forged traditional frontier knives, made completely in the old-fashioned tradition. His work is amazing and he produces knives of stout quality that can hold an incredibly sharp and durable edge. Ergos of this knife are incredible.
I ordered this about a year ago from Matt and it just came in a few days ago. As they often do, my interests have changed a bit over the past year but I wanted to fulfill my original commitment to him. My relatively immediate sale is absolutely no reflection on the quality of this handmade knife... it is superb. His wait time is approximately a year and this is one of his most popular models. Each are individually numbered and stamped. It comes with Matt's standard black Trail Fighter leather sheath and a Certificate of Authenticity. It is in mint and like new condition as received from Matt. I'm asking exactly what I have into it and if it doesn't sell I won't be heartbroken.
Here are some specs from Matt' website:
"Hand forged full tang 1095 High Carbon Steel. Blade Size about 6 1/4 Handle size about 5. File worked thumb stops on spine. Rear Exposed steel But end. Tapered forward swedge clip about 3″ long. Spine Tang about: 3/16 thick . Pattern and patina aged finish blade. Handle material is black dymonwood as shown or black canvas micarta. Brass pins and lanyard hole. Price with Hand stitched Trail Fighter Snap Sheath (Sheath can be worn in regular hanging fashion or higher on the belt. EACH blade is number stamped. $299.00 plus shipping."
