As many of you know, the collection has ebbs and flows. In my current phase, I'm feeling the desire to replace larger numbers of respectable knives with one or two more expensive ones that feel more special.
I would like to trade 2 or more (whatever achieves equivalent value) of my production knives for one of your knives. I am somewhat open to options, as I really haven't checked out much of anything in the $200+ price range.
Here is what I have, specifically:
Benchmade 940-2, lightly used w/box
Spyderco Para 3 LW, lightly used w/box
Bradford Guardian 3 M390 with Armatus kydex sheath
TOPS Lite Trekker, lightly used
CRKT Hvas, lightly used w/box
Those total over $640 if purchased new, so that should give plenty of combinations for different values.
Here is what I like:
I like simple blade shapes like drop point and spear point. Hate tanto and do not like sheepsfoot or wharncliffe. I like USA made best. I do not like overly thick and heavy knives. I do, however, enjoy anything from ultra thin slicers to moderately thick workhorses. I like fixed blades and folders. I am into EDC, fishing, hiking, bushcraft, and camping, so I have a variety of different style blades to cover these roles. I am not into overly tactical stuff or anything ornate. I do not enjoy black coated blades for the most part. I don't mind used knives at all. Every knife in my possession gets used anyway.
Some specific blades that have caught my eye:
CRK folders like the plain Jane Sebenza, Inkosi, and Umnumzaan (drop point versions)
Zero Tolerance ZT0562 (especially the Ti version), perhaps other ZT knives
Hinderer Firetac
Some Protechs and Microtechs (like the Protech CQC-7 drop point or the Protech SNG, to name a couple)
Dark Timber production Tavi
Carothers EDC or Field knife
Some Fiddleback Forge designs
LT Wright Outback Saber grind
Spartan Pallas or plain Jane Harsey folders
Hopefully that gives you a good idea of the things I like. I'll work with you to get the fairest deal. I'm just hoping to avoid circumventing the process of selling all these knives and shipping them individually, then reinvesting the money in another knife. A trade would be simpler if I can find someone who is interested.
