Welcome to BF! Typically GAWs are open for a period of time (weekend, week, etc) and people enter by posting something like "I'm in" (but you can be creative with entry requirements). Once the entry window is closed, a name is picked at random. For example, can use their post# as their entry number, and use an online random number generator to select the winner from that list of numbers.OK so if I wanted to give another one away in future what would be best way. I was unsure how to do it so I said first email but I wouldn't want to be perceived as trying to scam or what not. Anybody have advice on a better way to protect anonymity? Ty guys
Ok I wouldn't want to over step my boundaries on the rules. I kind of wanted to do another one but this one is of a substantial more value so I don't want it to go to anybody if that makes sense. I kind of want to vet this person make sure they aren't going to sell it for meth tomorrow or something. I don't mind giving to the person who will use and appreciate them. Ty for your suggestions.Welcome to BF! Hard to vet 100%, but you can state in the entry requirements that members who post mostly in the Exchange are not eligible. Such members are more likely to resell. They might enter anyway, but you can check the Post Areas in their profile, which shows the top 5 places they post. If the Exchange is at/near the top, can remove their entry before drawing a winner. Members that are here for the community and actually like to use/collect/discuss knives will regularly participate in areas outside the Exchange.Ok I wouldn't want to over step my boundaries on the rules. It didn't make it that far yet. I'm lucky the commies here in NY didn't take it yet though. You're lucky Canadian customs didn't confiscate it as a gravity knife after they dropped the package.

Till I saw you paid for a $349 folder that day. These knives are meant for people who will appreciate them. Next in line may be something really nice.I'm second in line if you remember :^)

That rubbed me wrong way especially after seeing what you paid for folder. That is the greed I want to stay away from on here. Just for that next give away the sheaths will be worth that because you are "next".I'm second in line if you remember :^)
