I got one of those too with my order, cept it was blue,,,, was wondering if it was a blue balls reference!! hahaha
 
It's tactical. You will know when to use it. Just hold on to it until then. ;)
 
Attach it to the lanyard on your 10 for a training morning star. Eventually Ka-Bar will send you the full on steel tactical version when you're competent enough to move on. Don't worry they're watching, so they'll know. Make sure you train everyday and post videos. Congrats on the 10 man!
 
I'm wondering if maybe the last 10 or so got them? Can anyone confirm or deny that?

I took two small Craftsman phillips head screwdrives, tapped the handles off of them, and bored them out to 7/16 inch and epoxied the 3/8 firesteel into them. It was exciting cutting that 6 inch ferro rod in half with the hacksaw :) VERY sparky.... 7/16 was actually a little bit big, was hard to get them centered, i laid them on their side with a cracker under them to keep them level...

Maybe it is just something to keep the dang stuff from banging around in the box......
 
I dunno, I'm kind of worried to open the box for #159 and #160 when they get here. Maybe a big Ethan jack in the box in their or something with a 10 in each hand.
 
It's one of those 25 cent vending machine prizes, like a mini Koosh ball but with bigger "tentacles". They probably just put it in your box as a door prize of sorts. Your firesteels are awesome!

Mine had those in the boxes too. Though I was not in the last 10, probably more like the last 40 or so.
