I took two small Craftsman phillips head screwdrives, tapped the handles off of them, and bored them out to 7/16 inch and epoxied the 3/8 firesteel into them. It was exciting cutting that 6 inch ferro rod in half with the hacksaw :) VERY sparky.... 7/16 was actually a little bit big, was hard to get them centered, i laid them on their side with a cracker under them to keep them level...

I bought one of the last 20 or so..... mine came last week.... no bells... 1 whistle...

and these guys get Snuffleuphagus balls....

just sayin'

Hey Doc, did you check under the scales? my whistle was in the sheath pouch, the bells are under the handles of the blade. didnt know if you knew this.
