The traffic in Nashville is worse than the Dixie DieWay, but there's tons of outdoor stuff to do. I like the Nashville area much better.

And you don't have to worry about hurricanes as much..:D
Are the job opportunities much different between the two?
Any family in FL?

We're full. Try West Virginia.

:D

Nashville is a great area.

Florida is VERY humid in the summer. My uncle moved from the midwest to Nashville and lived there 30 years and LOVED it. I loved visiting him and always had fun in Nashville.

I really don't like Florida. Sure, I've only seen the parts full of only old people, rain, and unbearable humidity, so I'm biased.

Come to Tennessee but whatever you do don't say I like it here but.... Where I come from we don't allow ________. :)

An hour from the place "Where Dreams Come True"!!!!!

But the hurricane factor is something to deeply consider! Deep sea fishing every weekend or Mountainous wilderness nearby....

Also look into school districts In the area you plan to move. Crime statistics. Find a random police officer in the area you are looking or call police station and find what type of crime in what areas are problems.

 for Tennessee. Florida is a great place to visit but Tennessee has everything but the beach.

Nashville area is nice, Down by murfreesboro or franklin is nice and quiet still close enough to commute into nashville.

Nashville is only a couple hours drive from Barlow...
Are you sure Florida would be far enough away?
might as well be close enough to keep an eye on em.

Nashville. Only having visited the areas in question, but between those 2, I'd pick TN and stay close to the grandparents for the kiddo. FAMILY! Roadtrip to the FL beach on a holiday-it's not that far from Nashville.

I would choose Ouray, Colorado. :D

It's not very nice compared to Ouray, but we have less snow.

Nashville or Tampa. Can you imagine living shoulder to shoulder with five million other people?!?

The combined Greater Tampa Bay region experienced a combined growth rate of 14.8 percent, growing from 3.4 million to 3.9 million and hitting the 4 million mark on April 1, 2007 in the continuous Tampa Bay urban area.
