Closest knife to a basic 7?

I forgot about the 3b2 variation of the ash1. it's less-tall blade might match the basic 7's a little closer than the ash1.

thanks for all of this it has been a super help. I jumped the gun a bit on the Sarsquatch and really feel compelled to find a user in a Boss Jack. Looks like that will be my next step in search of THE knife for my application.

Just a side note, I find the Ash1 handle to be very comfortable. If you have a weak grip, or do a ton of chopping, you can get the Busse-pinky from that rear talon hole area.

It does limit your options for moving your hand further back on the grip for chopping etc.

Nice shot of my old tan collection.;)

FYI,

THe SHBM that NRariano is reffering too was modded by Jerry. I got it from Cobalt. It was called "THE BOTTLE OPENER". It was a left over from the original 1/300 blanks that Jerry had and he modded it for the 1999 CHicago Cutlery SHow. I let Horton have it a year or two ago. I am not sure where it is now.

As far as original question....THe B7 is one heck of a blade which I like a lot. I would say that the SJ is similar but much more expensive, but so will all the full tangs in that size range. THe D Noe would have a similar feel and size along with ones previously mentioned.
