Did you modify the lock? The lock spring on my Manix 2 is far too stiff to be fidgetable. Spyderco said it was working as intended.I like the Manixes in this regard, and the CBBL. My fidget knife is a Manix 2 XL I modified to suit me preferences (pointier tip, thinner grind, no choil, full length cutting edge, more neutral handle).
Ad-20 of course

SOG Seal XR opens and closes in about two seconds.I fidget with my knives opening and closing them over and over with one hand while I sit at my computer. (Even I think I’m weird!) All the knives I’ve tried use the locking mechanism to some extent to help hold the blade closed. The problem is this detracts from closing the blade because I’m usually still disengaging the lock when the blade closes and it bounces back out. So I have to slow down and think about it. Are there any good fidget friendly (generally rules out back, frame and liner locks) flippers that catch the blade well when closing? … A nice sound when locking open and closed really adds to the aesthetics and multiple methods of opening is a huge plus!
There are replacement springs, and other neat parts available; but I "adjusted" the spring tension in my LW, by shoving a metal rod in it to lock it back in a fully compressed position. It took about a week: but it's much more reasonable now!Did you modify the lock? The lock spring on my Manix 2 is far too stiff to be fidgetable. Spyderco said it was working as intended.
