Closing in on year end....

Happy holidays to all. STeven this is a very nice thread and the participation by all appears very heart felt.

A little over a year ago I found myself in a position where it looked like I would be abandoning collecting custom knives after 30+ years. In the process of selling some knives I found this wonderful community of collectors, makers, and other fine folks. This tight knit community and forum interaction reinvigorated my passion for custom knives. The last year has presented me with some very special relationships and unmeasurable pleasure. Not to mention I have had the opportunity to acquire some fine knives. I look forward to making more new friends and adding more custom knives in 2011.

Thank you all for the commeraderie and wish you all a very happy & healthy New Year!

Jon

Thanks Steven this has been a good read. It is hard for me to say just how much I get from the community here on blade forums. I check in every day that I am at home to see what my friends might be up to. This year I started studio 4 and it has really helped me meet some very cool folks and create a resource for the knife community. meeting Lorien, Stuart and Jason in the same weekend was something I will not forget. like Jeff Black Mamba said it is nice to put faces with folks here. I still struggle to find a balance between knife making and black smithing. it seems I only made around 20 knives in 2010 . But I know I made at least 40 friends so I am going to call this a good year. thank you all for all of your input into this forum. I hope you all have a wonderful new year and may the right knife find its way into your life.

Busy year, Damascus orders are what I can handle.Did some steel for Marcel, enjoyed working with him. Purchaced another Wade Colter Bowie. I agree with everything Marcel said about Wade.
I enjoy everything about the knife world and make new friends every year. My life would be incomplete without all of you.
