I want something my kid and I can shoot pretty easily,
I wAs thinking of a ruger 10/22
maybe we can get parts and make it into something together.
I have no guns right now,so this would be for plinking at the range,
but also serve as home defense since its the only weapon here.
I had a 10/22 a long long time ago.
It was really a solidf gun. had that rotary magazine
i think they called it. anyway,i had extra capacity mags for it
like banana clips i think. anyway,we were in virginia shooting it
that was a blast.

10/22s is good plinking fodder, but for home defense you're better off with a 4 iron.
