Bruce, it is much easier to sharpen with the bigger strop on chopper sized knives. Spen at JRE made 2 of them for me, but said "no more" because they were a PITA (it took over an hour just to load up each one). One is with me and Pauli has the other one.

Not sure what people do outside of Chicago, but if you simmer the brats in some beer and onions before you grill them, it makes them really tasty.

Thanks Fug. Ya, the old Pile works well for the beer brats. Keep that lid on while they simmer. No reason to let those tasty flavors escape into the air. I hear the best method to slicing the onions is with a Fugbar.
