Everything is looking good and they are overnighting me the paperwork tomorrow. Now it is time for lawyers, banks, title company, soil tests, etc..

I am soooo jealous!
Ive been wanting some land for quite some
time but never could find a way to swing it.
I was looking more toward the mississippi river area,
as well as lower Wisconsin.
where about are you guys looking at?

as for that knife,bury it as one of the
property markers.

It is in southern Wisconsin near the Bears old training camp in Platteville. We decided we only wanted to drive about 2 hours max and I've been looking in the 2 hour circle for about 1.5 years now. We know people that have beautiful cottages, but because they are 4 hours away they rarely use them. We want to to be able to go up on a Friday night and come back late Sunday, but not be stressed. 5 acres isn't much, but I think it is a beautiful piece of land.

Here is the picture of the pond on the property. There is a few hundred feet of woods behind me and the property includes some land on the opposite side of the pond.

Does it have road access,power?
what do you guys plan on doing,trailer or maybe a cabin?
 
It is at the end of a cull de sac with power already run to the property edge. We will need to put it a well and a septic field. We would like to be off the grid but it is nice to know, if we need it, it is already there.

We plan on building a cabin. If anyone has seen any cool/cheap ideas let me know.
 
Cool place, BBT! 5 acres of nature would cost a fortune here :o
The snow is gone. 10°C / 50F. Floods everywhere. They become quite usual last few years.
