Anybody got experience with the Surefire G2x or the 6Px? This is the dual output (200 and 15 lumens) version that Surefire puts out.
I've used a Streamlight Twin Task 2L for a long time in my hunting pack (72 and 25 lumens) because I like the low light for stealth and the brighter mode if I want to light something up.
Seems like the Surefire could really pump up this dual output. And I just read (LA Police Gear email) that Surefire is about to substantially raise prices.
Kind of leaning toward the G2x. It's a little cheaper, but more importantly, the material doesn't seem like it would be as bitter cold in winter weather.

Anyway, any comments on the G2x or 6Px?

No experience with either of those but the E2DL is dual output and I love it. I like the size of it better than the 6P too as it fits in the pocket better, has a clip, and also a rip yer azz bezel :thumbup:

It doesn't suck{work} ,i average making 500.00 a day.....

What dose suck is my wife is sick now and i had to rush her to the er because i thought she was dying on me...... They couldnt find anything wrong with her, but i thought she was dying....Shes back at work but dont feel good and is very bitchy. And she refuses to go to our regular doctor.........

The impact bezel is a definite plus. You get the same with the E2D executive as well. I prefer that one actually. But being a light whore, the G2x would be my choice when it comes to dual output if you are picking between those lights. I use an Aviator for my dual output light but I like the green light for nav at night. Don't be fooled by the G2x Pro runtime of 45 hours though. That is of course being rated at the low output. If you are just looking for a glovebox light or something for a gtfo of town bag, get the G2x Tactical. It is only $55 on LAPG. Might as well. I have had plastic bodies and metal bodies and the difference to me is only when running a weapon light. You want something metal on a weapon mount and everything else might as well be plastic. When the plastic ones are filled with batteries they will feel like a stack of dimes if you want to donkey punch someone.

I looked at the E2L, but it's a lot more expensive, and hits only 80 lumens on high. I like that 200 lumen "good God he's spotlighting deer, call the Federales" output on the G2x or the 6Px. I'm thinking I may go for the G2x because of the polymer. In 20 degree hunting weather, just seems like it would be warmer on the hands than aluminum. Will report back if/when I grab one.

ob1korobi, it's for hunting and I want the dual output. Impact bezel is worthless in my hunting pack unless I have to fend off a horny deer or a black bear. :p Thanks for the 411 though. :thumbup:

FYI, I got an email from LA Police Gear that Surefire is going up on prices. A thread on CPF gave a figure of 12%. So I was thinking about picking up a regular old G2 to burn all these P60 assemblies I have laying around, and the G2x dual for hunting.

On my one and only AR, I went with a 6P with a Malkoff M60. I wish Gene still made the M60. I have an M61, and it just ain't the same.
 
Carto, I will be at Blade this year. I'll be the guy with the big old hard-on and an empty wallet.

The original 6p? Yea. Well good thing their lights only got better after that. I would end up spending a fortune on batteries if I still had one too. I remember that they lasted a good 15 minutes if that. I don't even think I remember those drop in lamps. Just looked them up. Cool.

Did manage some chow-dah ... despite the snowstorm. I like Boston, but I'm happier at home. Probably an old man thing.;)

The E2DL is 200/5 and will light it up so you can rip shit open - or not - not sure about the E2L

I bought a slightly used E2Dl for around $100
