That should be an awesome tool for the woods and it will scare the brother-in-law for sure, lol. Though for some reason he hasn't wanted to camp with us again.![]()
Camp tongs I made in around 2 minutes on the last trip. They saved his dinner, but he still wanted to know why I carried/brought a knife .

^^^ True. The best thing about the kitchen tong moment was that is was the first time my wife understood the "knife thing". I think that she was actually proud that I fixed the problem so quickly. With the right tools it was easy to chop the branch, cut it to size, clear the bark, baton it, slice the wedge for spreading the sides, and cut the jute to put the whole thing together. BTW, before I sheathed the knife, I used the bottle opener (near the choil) to open her a beer. One of the best 2 minutes of my life.
