Club Platinum ... Just where old men complain about the weather

Happy Friday men. Going to see Act Of Valor today. Really pumped to see this movie. The action scenes should be worth the price of the movie alone!

J. Have you ever snapped belt while grinding? I snapped two tonight. Realized it was user error the second time. Tracking wheel had a lose bolt and was turned all the way to one side which stretched it and it eventually snapped. Well. Another lesson learned.

Morning men. Have a great weekend.Drove 150 miles round trip last night to see Act Of Valor in a blinding blizzard. Was well worth it! Now today it is bright and sunny but cold.

You must live in a small town too. Have to take a road trip to see a movie or eat something besides fast food. But I love it..

Chickenpluker I live in a town so small we do not have any traffic lights. If you look at a map of Michigan I live just South of the Tahquamenon Falls. It is 75 miles to the nearest Walmart. We do have a McDonalds out on M-28.Our town is largely based on tourism snow mobiles in the winter and the Falls in the summer and the color tour in the fall.We have the least population of any county in Michigan.I love it though.

My Turn,

I lived on my Daddy In-law's Property in a Travel Trailer for two years where he still lives today.

Maybe 5 miles North Northwest of Sprague River Oregon, two miles to a county maintained Road and a School Bus Stop, three miles to his mail box. The closest stop light is about thirty miles away at Chiloquin Oregon.

He lived there three years before electric came down his Road, and it came for him(five years ago) he still has neighbors who have been there 25 years off the grid.(same road within 400 yards)

Closest Walmart or fast food is 46 miles away in Klamath Falls(where my Wife Highly encouraged me to move)where I live for now.

Law enforcement will only go there in Groups of three cars or more and they stay close to each other and mostly will not go out there at night.

Directions to his house include: Go to the end of the road and turn left, when you get to the fence turn right go to the fork in the trail and go either way when the road looks like it goes straight turn right again, then about a mile, just past the tire used as a road sign you will see a tree with the street name spray painted on it, turn left there, turn in at the first drive park at the gate, the Dogs will let them know you are there, just wait in the truck.

I am plan to go visit him tomorrow I plan to stay a few hours, but I pack to stay two weeks as far as Food/water and sleeping gear, just to be safe.

Edited to add, when you add three to six feet of snow(unusual but it happens) travel can get tricky.
People out there are pretty self sufficient and rely on Neighbors a lot more than town folk do.
