Club Platinum ... Just where old men complain about the weather

went up to P-Town yesterday. For lunch we ate at a Mcmennamins I've never been to before. thats 6 down, like 48 more to go. The wife got to shop at IKEA, and we went to the Bridgeport Brewery for dinner. it was a pretty good day.
 
Our Ikea is probably the same layout. I get lost in there for hours too. Usually at the food court.
 
Afternoon men.Been awhile since I been in the club. Wanted to let you guy's know that I am medically retired from my spinal injuries I got at work last January.Been through spinal surgery and injections but no doctor will clear me to work in a prison.Too much chance of me taking a hit to my lower spine and becoming paralyzed from it.So now I surf the net and buy guns.......lol
 
Welcome back Mike. Good to hear from you. That is too bad about your job but at the same time, welcome to retirement. I think you will have a good time surfing the web and buying guns. =]

Thanks for all your support men.My son starts the Corrections academy on Monday.He got hired for the prison I retired out of.With the economy the way it is he has been out of college for 3 years and this is the first job in his career field.

went to the annual Eugene knife collectors show yesterday. saw some pretty great knives. there was a LOT of home forged damascus, most of which was very good. I had no idea how many makers are local to this area. I got to meet and talk knives with a couple of very cool makers from right here on BFC. there was even a vendor with a sort of clearance table where I picked up a 25 pack of 2x72 180 grit belts for $35:eek:.. all in all it was a great show and a great time.
