Groggy from overwork ... :grumpy:
Well, it's just office work. But it's what I do.:o

Same here. I mean the office type of work. Honestly, I'm not overloaded nowadays. But I've had enough of it last year, working for about 3 people... So I think I might be able to relate...

I'll settle for physical exhaustion over mental exhaustion any day of the week.

I'd like to have these both balanced. But I cannot find such job. There are also other factors to the job selection, unfortunately ;)

What about heat exaustion

In the office? Yeah, I know that, too! :D :foot:

Sitting around the dinner table my 2 year old son is grabbing food with his hand, I tell him to use his fork.....he replies "fok", "fok no me use poon". I replied,"It is F-O-R-K and S-P-O-O-N" so Lex said, "Fok poon".

I smiled and said, one day son.

I love being a father,

My daughter asked me why aren't butterflies made out of butter?

Yes,,, kids are a bundle of fun,,,

I'm at work and get a distressed call from the wife,,, apparently my 2y old found a piece of glass from a drinking glass which broke earlier this week and wasn't properly cleaned away it seems (those pieces of broken glass sometimes turn up in the weirdest places I tell ya),,, any how, the wife thinks he might have ingested some and is borderline panicking,,,

So, being at work and not able to do much about anything, I calm her down first and ask if the boy is bleeding anywhere in or near the mouth,,, luckily nothing like that and he's also acting normal,,, so I tell her to take him to the E.R. and have them check him out to be certain,,,

Doctor there tells her that he seems okay, but she has to keep an eye on him for the next couple of hours to make sure he doesn't show any signs of something wrong or pain to the stomach,,, taking an X-ray won't do much good since it passes right through the pieces of glass

Nothing to do, but wait it out, I guess,,,

Personally I don't think he ingested anything, but better safe then sorry,,,

They're like a little monkey at that age and just repeat the last things you say,,, so when the wife asked him if he put it in his mouth, he said 'in mouth' and when she asked if he swallowed some, he said 'swallowed',,, enough to raise the mam-alarm to code red ;)

I'm glad you're not too anxious.

In my experience, the mam-alarm is always at code orange (at the very least) until the child has reached school age.:)

I never really get anxious at the time itself,,, it's usually afterwards that I get the shakes for a bit (adrenaline in the body etc),,, guess it comes with the job,,, assess the situation, see what's at hand to solve the problem, execute,,, that's how I roll  :D

,,,and my wife's Kid's Alarm is always borderline Red any way, she got that nervous character trait from her mam

Any how, it's been a couple of hours and I haven't heard anything, so I guess disaster has been averted,,, this time,,,

LOL - The "man alarm" diminishes proportionally with each additonal child

but only if Momma let's it

It'll be OK

WooHoo, some excellent news ! :)

Guyon shipped me the Sebenza for my little glass-muncher :D

I'll post some pics of the boys holding their Sebbies upon arrival,,, if I can make'em sit still long enough to take the pic :p
