Okay, I need to step away from the Internet portal.

I pulled the trigger on one of those Surefire 6P's plus V20 holster for $49 shipped
and a Malkoff M61 to go in it (because they were in stock).

...plus in the last couple of days...

- two Malkoff M60LF's for Surefires I already own
- another V20 holster
- Maratac single-AA LED from countycomm.com plus all the other "might as wells" that go with a countycomm.com order
- HKS speedloader pouch
- and two boxes of Buffalo Bore .357 Mag 180 Grain Lead Flat Nose (loading for bear... small bear at least)

I do still need a camo holster for the last 6P. May have to contact Jeremy's guys over at S.O.E.

I have a OSOE pouch for my 6P with the fastex buckle option. Really Nice, Highly recomended.

wish i sold batteries instead of chicken.... need a load of chicken main ?

pals is molle mount,, for gear.. belt loop is velcro for belt.. fastex is a snapping buckle that holds the pouch closed,, insted of velcro..

Is that what they call the PALS interface? Or is that the belt loop? Or something else?

There are two options besides color.
1) Fastex (side/silent release buckle) or Velcro

2) Belt attach or pals.

I get the belt attach which is two flaps held by velcro which works for belt or attaching to pals. I wear one on my belt at work and keep two on my backpack. Its a very sturdy attachment.

I prefer the fastex buckle to the velcro closure of the pouch.

this is a fastex closer. with pals

Thanks to both of you guys for clarification on "fastex."

This is what I needed to know. If the belt attachment is dual purpose, that's the way I'm going too. Thanks.

I may go fastex on the closure too. The 6P with M61 drop-in will be for spotlig... uhm... hunting :p and it seems like the fastex would be a quieter fastener. True?

(Just kidding about the spotlighting.) But I will be using this one for hunting trips, and quiet is good.

not a bad idea. gotta learn the lingo over there first.

No shit. I'm scared to post half the time. With all the "14500's" and such flying around, it's like being over in the Busse forum again.

Dude 1: "Would you like an NMFBMLE with your box of 14500's?"

Dude 2: <confused look>

I did just figure out that some vendors do give discounts for cpf coupon codes. Malkoff, for instance, takes off 5% if you put "cpf" in the coupon box.

going gear

Use code summer10 for 10% off through August 31, 2010

The coupon has no items restrictions, no limit on uses, and no minimum order. Forwarding the code to your friends and family is allowed and encouraged. Combine it with free domestic shipping on orders over $49 to further your savings.

I consult retailmenot all the time, and I see that Battery Junction also honors a CPF code (cpf2010) for 5% off.

chickenplucker's post made me go check my stock of CR123's. I'm down to less than a dozen.

So is this right? Battery Junction CR123's made in China?
I see that the Battery Station house brand is made in USA though. 30 cents higher but I'm guessing worth it.

ETA: 'plucker! I girded my loins and posted again on CPF. Watch as the resident gurus make fun of my ignorance! :D

ETAA: Oh shit! I've stepped in it. Seems that whole crowd is comprised of recharging zealots. As I look at all the other posts there on page one, none have anything to do with non-rechargeable batteries.

ETAOMT: Sonofab... CPF has banned me?
