As other stated, the bigger the caliber the harder it is to suppress. Hollywood silencers dont exist. The closest you can get to Hollywierd, is a .22 pistol with a suppressor and subsonic ammo. Videos are pretty tough to get a sense of how it really sounds. You really have to shoot it in person. A .45 can be fairly quiet, if you ad some water or gel to the can. But then all that gunk gets in your gun, its a mess to clean up.

post a video of a silencer on a full auto ar15 or something
it was really quiet compared to that 45 video.
I saw on that Steven Segal Police show
where he is an LEO in New Orleans,
they were shooting Nutrea in a canal with sileners on
22 rifles. Those things didnt make a sound!

That would be some serious fun. ;)






As far as the sound goes, all cameras are not created equal. A lot of them just don't pick up the sound, or you hear the sound long after the shots were fired. Might even get lost in the upload to Youtube, who knows. It's just a poor way to judge a suppressor.

I have a .22 Rifle, with a threaded 22 inch barrel. With Sub-Sonic ammo, all you hear is the pin drop and the bullet hit the target. Awesome for popping small varmints. :D

Im just gonna tell you, you cant thank these kids enough for the job they'er doing over there. Weather you agree with it of not. Thats a dangerous place, and im glad im home and not there.

Besides, with my luck if that had been me, the shrapnel would have been right up my ass.....

Think about it....
 
I agree with you 100% Carto. God bless those all our troops and personnel. I am lucky to live in such an incredible place and never truly worry about my safety.
 
We got the HOUSE!!

we went back & forth, then they accepted our 2nd offer. Thanks for the smoke, everyone!!

We close in 2 months. gives us time to get our house on the market.

Tom, don't listen to Fug. He is just jealous and now he needs to get new cardboard box to live in. Besides, everyone knows the Lambo is the daily driver.;):D
