Ha ha, I will never ask her if I can buy another blade...cause she'll say no. My brother in law taught me...."don't ask for permission...just ask for forgiveness.:D

We camped in Plainfied. It is a nice little club of 300 acres based off of strip mines that has been turned into a non-for-profit. Let me know if you want to go....it is a pretty cool place. Within the understanding of being relatively close to the Chicago land area. Quick and cheap!

Mama "Totally wants" a llama now. Thanks. :grumpy:

RIP Dennis Hopper. CNN did a short memorial tonight and one part of it was the ceremony for the Hollywood star he received a couple of months ago. I hadn't seen him lately and he looked terrible. It was just a shame to see him like that.

From one of my favorites:

I learned an important lesson yesterday. Don't let anyone, except fellow Hortonites, use one of your knives. I was at a birthday party for my niece and they broke out ice cream and cake on the porch. The ice cream had those safety seals on the lids and they couldn't open them. Someone asked for a knife from the kitchen and I handed them my D2 Para instead (I thought the FugBar in my pocket carry sheath was overkill:D). One on the ladies gasped and asked her husband, who had just asked for a knife, "what are you going to use that for?". I try to keep my knives crazy sharp so one light flick against the plastic would have cut them, but instead he slides the knife in sideways (parallel to the carton and plastic and just slid the knife back and forth doing nothing). When that didn't work he started prying sideways with the tip of the Para. Next time someone needs a knife I'll ask what do they need cut, or I'll reach in my pocket and hand them this:

Got back to Iraq from leave a few days ago, had a great time. Got to do the oath of office for my fiance who commissioned into the Army and my college room mate who commissioned into the Air Force. It was good to relax fore a few weeks, but we only have two months left in country so I'll be home soon anyway. Against all odds my MIA plan B showed up today almost 3 months late and wearing 3 different addresses from all my moves. It is even better than I imagined, crazy sharp and feels like I could cut a whole in the armor of a tank. Steelnut's sheaths are a perfect match to J's work, perfect fit and retention. Thanks to the both of you and your excellent work. Ill put them to work as hard as I can and Ill pass you names along to anyone who asks.
