J I hope it OK to prop RMJ on here a bit...

Here's my RMJ story. Last year I purchased a Kestrel liked it so much I ordered a Talon and conveniently forgot about ordering it :rolleyes:...Few months ago I got an e-mail from RMJ indicating they shipped my Talon duh....

I friend of mine offered to purchase one of them and decided to get the Kestral - he pick it up - used it to smash a hard drive and the tip bent :thumbdn: ....crap...

I e-mailed RMJ and Richard (which is great person to deal with)he paid for shipping the Kestral back to them....I get an e-mail saying they noticed the problem and are going to do some adjustment (which I was a bit skeptical at first) to the tip and I'm getting a bran new Kestrel :thumbup::D

I picked it up last sat and compared to the Talon - the spike is thicker on the Kestral...

So last night we beat up a washer a bit lol.....I did manage to roll the edge :mad: on my Talon (but it didn't chip just rolled to the side so I guess with my limited knowledge the heat treat is good) but I'm going to try and straighten it with the screwdriver or just wait till it goes away with resharpening....

Thanks to Brians advice I re-sharpen it with a mouse pad and a piece of 400 grit sandpaper -

I guess the bottom line is RMJ is a stand up company took good care of me when I had an issue and their product is good - well maybe not as good as a Horton Knife :D

Hey mangs,,, I'm back ! :)

My dad left the hospital on Wednesday,,, he's doing okay for now,,, has to take a shit load of pills each day and they'll evaluate later this month if he'll be needing surgery done or not,,, keep yer fingers crossed :thumbup:

Reason I wasn't frequenting the club the last few days,,, my 2y old was hospitalized on Tuesday,,, light case of pneumonia,,, nothing too major, but for a small child hospital is never a fun place to be,,, he was discharged today with a clean bill of health,,, :)

Lots of activity in the club the past few. I have been working long hours and staying out late. Hope everythin is well for you all. Glad to hear peeps are getting better, making progress and smashing washing machines.

RMJ is a great company. I missed out on a few hawks that were at TAD gear a few weeks ago. I looked at one, thought, "I'll pick it up at the end of the week if it is here." Went back and it was history. It was not something I needed at the time but I probably should have bought. Besides, I have a WIP hawk coming my way. Right? =] I like my friendly plugs at J. After Blade I know probably the best hawk he has ever made will be coming out of the compound. If there is a end of days next week though I will have to do without it. Or just make my way to Camden after the dust clears.

I have one of those early ones, too. Fairly cool ... mine is related to the Steel Heart.
