J, I don't see the similarity bewteen the TNT and your folder (does it have a name yet ?),,, apart from both being made from Titanium ?

BIG surprise at home, just now.

My boy decided about 8 months ago that he wanted to enlist in the Army. He has arranged everything, all on his own, and told only his sisters. Today, he revealed all this to his Mother and I at a luncheon with the entire family.

Well. Surprised. A little worried. A little proud. Would prefer to have known this so I could help, and would certainly prefer he'd finished college first. BUT, this is what my boy wants to do. So, I support him.

In about 6 months, the fight is going to be even more personal for me.

If you would, say a prayer for the boy. Meanwhile, I will be hoping that he won't need it.
 
I am sure you are proud and worried as you said but you have set a great example for him OP. Hopefully he will be as successful as his dad.

Cabra, sorry for the job thing. I think I can imagine how bad it sucks. I like to say that something ends because somewhere else there's something better waiting for you. Good luck finding it!

Chibbi, thanks for the offer, but I got the whole thing wrong. The proxy is needed in the U.S., not Europe. It gets on the border of legality and I'm not sure yet I really wanna do this.

OldPhysics, I'm holding my fingers crossed for your boy! And will ask the Holy Virgin to watch out for him, too.
 
You're a great bunch of guys. Believe me, it helps -- this whole thing hit me like a ton of bricks early this afternoon. It's going to take awhile to really understand this.

And ... you can imagine how the wife is taking this.

Of course, I'll tell the boy you all said "thanks for your service."

I can't imagine how it would be to get a message like that. The one we love the most and would guard with our life, is putting themselves in harms way.
